Handbook

In the GCSC classroom simulation, each student is a working member of the General Case Study Company. This page contains the table of contents of the "Employee Handbook," which provides all information and resources needed to perform satisfactorily in their roles. The hyperlinked portions of the Table of Contents lead to PDF documents where selected material may be viewed.

The instructor, and the students, should bear in mind that GCSC is not a role play. Rather, it is a real — although temporary — organization in which each individual performs real work and receives real compensation in the form of real currency of real value. During GCSC's production periods, the student is not "playing" the role of anyone; rather, he/she is truly being him/herself in a real workplace. See laboratory learning for more discussion of this powerful method of learning.
